My good Israeli buddy and I found in an obscure paragraph that we only needed 90 credits undergraduate. Thus, 6 of the 13 of us were jewish and took it upon ourselves to apply without the blessing of our now 4 year college. Ok? It was Adelphi of Garden City who I believe felt badly that there promises of saving us 1 year was just removed by Georetown U. closing.  The two schools did not a thing to help us and we were not told until Apr before we were to enter Dental School. Why did they tell us so late ? I had a G.P.A, of 3.5 not the best to enter as a late decision but if told 4 months prior ? A G.P.A of 3.5 in 1987 was a given admission. I had only 2 choices as we all had. N.Y.U. and some school in NJ the armpit of the USA. Well? Everyone may as well went to NYU because after First year NJ closed as well. Unlike the classy Georgetown who at least allowed there students finish there dental degree. The NJ Dental School just tossed out everyone and wished them luck finding a school . Of course now with low applicant numbers, NYU just accepted the NJ students as 2nd year .
I did not forget about my friends who paid and spent 8 years to only be tossed out of NYU without any DEGREES.  Imagine in today’s dollars ? That’s $200K for NYU undergrad and another $375K of 4 years of DEntal.  WOW! I’d be pissed!!!  WHAT A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY? RIGHT? GOOD THING I PASSED? BTW %10 of grads never pass Dental Boards so they end up teaching . Luckily Pres. Obama spiked the salaries of professors but in 1991 a dental professor would not earn enough to break even with his/her loans. Today though still not worth the hassle of 8 years of school and now 2 years of a residency which I didn’t need to due and quit after seeing I was not learning a thing. I went to open my 1st practice instead. oh! my buddies who wasted 8 years and >$750K were allowed or given a 2nd chance to pass/repeat YEAR 1 and they all did at an entire extra year of tuition. Of those that passed the 2nd time all but 1 failed year 2 and you guessed it. NYU gave them a chance to pass year 2. If they failed though? They’d have to leave to return to undergrad. Imagine my friend at 25 , 8 years of very hard studying and tossed. Why didn’t educators recognize these students and save them the loss of 8 years and $700K. ? They needed the money then.
OK? so now I’ll really give you a reason never to be a licensed Dentist especially in corrupt states as NJ. I struggled thru school by always being told to not try and answer the last few pages of tests. I never had enough time. In my senior year of dental school, finally my learning disability was recognized. It did little at this point to help me.
I graduated on time and quickly rose to the top %1 of earners in my field. You got it again!!!!   NJ BOATRD OF DENTISTRY made up of of old Dentists not accepting insurance and specialists as Roberta Fiengold . They targeted me and any dentist like me and my age of 29. I had my practice video taped in 1998 to being ordered to the Corrupt Dental Board of NJ with a Lawyer who made his living off this shit. By 33 , I was grossing over $5M in 2 practices and being called to the board annually about patients I never treated.,  I was advised to follow in the footsteps of others who owned multi million, multi location offices. I paid $15K a month for “PROTECTION” to RICHARD ESPINOZA. HE WAS REFERRED TO ME BY THE DENTAL BOARD AND MY LAWYERS. YOU GUESSED IT! FOR THE NEXT 4 years not a single NJ Board situation or phone call to get my “BUTT” to Newark.
In 2006, I went thru a costly divorce and I beggged Rich Espinoza to lower his Extortion fees. He refused and within 4 weeks I was under criminal and civil investigation. I faced 10 years in prison I was told and loss of my license for whatever any of the 20 Dentists ever did in my office. This should have not been so but Richard Espinoza who convinced me that he should hold original employment contracts
sent them to the dental board instead of me ?  Of course these contracts of sole responsibility of care was my Dentists’ disappeared?  I asked the Board what the hell do you think I paid over $15K month x 48 months for? For the same contracts EASTERN DENTAL, POLLER AND SOME DENTIST WHO”S PEDODONTIST MURDERED 2 patients but weren’t resposible for other NJ LICENSED DENTISTS. Well my Dentists were allowed to place anything they did from malpractice to being RUDE onto my Dental license. The only negative I ever had was in 1994, I drove to Whitehouse Station ,NJ from Monmouth in 36″ of Snow to meet a Union patient in pain needing a pulpotomy. I had no assistant and I was thanked and blessed by her. I must’ve had my staff call her 16x to return for the finishing of that emergency . I was forced by my insurabce to settle and they gave her a measly $3,500 for her claim that I told her she and her RCT were done and no need to return.
Why would I not want to finish and be paid for this root canal and why or how could I have finished it myself? That was the big malpractice of Marc Weber who NJ suspended my license for in 2014. 20 years later. The other names on that 4 patient list never sued my associates because the only reason they testified was they admitted they were promised refunds for dental work they never even complained about nor were treated by me? The other 4 of a total of 7 patients out of 27 years and over 60K patients and over $67M were not even seen at my office and the Judge had to excuse them.
So? DO NOT SUBJECT YOURSELF TO PAYING ALMOST $1M AND YOU NEED ANOTHER $400K for an office. TO BE TOLD WHAT TO DO IF YOU ARE LIKED OR DISLIKED. REGULATION AND CORRUPT NJ DENTAL BOARD DENTISTS PAID OFF TO GET RID OF A YOUNG MILLIONAIRE SIMPLY RUINED ME. IF I JUST WAS AN OWNER AND DID NOT HAVE A DEGREE OR DENTAL LICENSE? I WOULD STILL BE THE OWNER OF AS MANY OFFICES AS I PLEASED. SO GO BUY AN OFFICE AS AN INVESTOR WITH A YOUNG HUNGRY HARD WORKING DENTIST.
